We recently constructed & delivered 6 accommodation units for Federation Mine workers at the Reefton Campground, providing an extra 10 rooms. These scoria red units were prefabricated in our factory in two pieces, due to the overall height being too high for transport, the top roof sections had to be separated & fitted onsite, which allowed us to keep the traditional 40 degree roof pitch as part of Reefton’s local heritage.
All units are now placed onsite, with decks, steps, verandas, baseboards and service connections underway. Thanks to the Smiths house relocation team & Reefton Crane for delivering these safely into place! They were officially opened on 12th September 2025 by the regional development minister Shane Jones!
