South Peak Homes began in Westport in late 2019 to construct quality, factory-built homes to help fix the housing shortage in NZ, with a commitment to supporting the building industry by producing fast, affordable homes & provide opportunities for people to learn the building trade. Our offering includes prefabricated residential homes, minor dwellings, offices blocks & accommodation units that are manufactured offsite and delivered to you, fully finished inside & out.
In 2026, South Peak Homes joined the Laing Properties family, bringing together deep West Coast expertise and over 40 years of industry experience. Now based in Canterbury in the largest purpose-built facility for the construction of prefabricated buildings, the new leadership remains committed to the ideals from which South Peak Homes was born from.

Buying a prefabricated home fully finished inside & out, ready for connection to services on your section is a great way to build a new home. You can make it your own using our large range of floor plans and refine the design to suit your needs. We’ll take care of everything from house design to handover, so you’re working with one team throughout the whole process.
We transport our home South Island wide, subject to good delivery routes & truck access to your site.
Your new home will be delivered by a professional house moving company that will ensure a safe journey to your place. We have insurance cover in place for this transport process, for your peace of mind.
