South Peak Homes will join Laing Properties (and previously acquired brand Genius Homes) in Canterbury, based out of the South Island’s largest purpose-built facility for the construction of prefabricated buildings and homes.

If your house is currently under construction, it will be completed at the Westport factory. Any houses yet to being construction will now be built at Laing Properties’ facilities in Rolleston, Canterbury.
For clients whose homes were originally intended for coastal construction and are now being built in Rolleston, Laing Properties will complete regular video walkthroughs during construction and upload ongoing progress photos to the client portal to ensure clients remain connected throughout the build.
Clients who have signed an agreement, paid a Home Start Agreement or been presented with a contract offer will be invited to Laing Properties’ Head Office to meet Managing Director Myles Laing, the wider team, and to view the Rolleston facility.
Upon signing an arrangement or novating a contract, Laing Properties will compensate clients to assist with expenses incurred for their first visit to Laing Properties offices.
No. All construction and delivery costs remain unchanged, providing certainty and assurance to clients.
Should you choose to, your contract will be novated to Laing Properties Limited. Your agreed price, design, specifications, and scope will remain unchanged.
Homes under construction will be delivered per the agreed schedule. However, if you choose to have your contract novated to Laing Properties Limited, the timeframe may change.
You will sign a version of the same contract you have already been presented with, but with the contracting party now being Laing Properties. Alternatively you can opt to sign a Registered Master Builders contract with similar terms.
Yes. You will have the option to include a Master Builders Guarantee for additional peace of mind should you opt for the Master Builders contract.

Yes. Laing Properties is happy to provide a letter of solvency from its accountant confirming that the company is not trading insolvently.
For any clients who have a house in production, or their house was completed within the previous 12 months, the South Peak Homes defect-free guarantee and 10-year structural guarantee will continue, per the details in the contract agreement.
For new clients, this guarantee will be replaced by the Laing 1-Year Maintenance Guarantee, with an optional 10-Year Master Build Guarantee
